SNSD wins Music Bank overall K-Chart for 2010

As we come up to the end of the year, it was time for KBS to roll out their Music Bank year-end special on December 17th and crown their ultimate K-Chart winner for the whole of 2010.

To mark the special occasion, top K-Pop artists converged on the same stage this evening to perform their hit songs for the year, and some collaborated for some special stages.

Super Junior, SHINee, B2ST and 2AM on the power of boy groups.

SNSD, KARA, T-ara and SECRET on the power of girls groups.

Just like the mid-year special earlier this year, it was another battle between SNSD and 2AM for the overall K-Chart crown for 2010. In the end, it was the SNSD girls who won and it was no mean feat as they had 3 songs (Oh!, Run Devil Run and Hoot) which charted in the Top 10. Congratulations!

Check out some SoKa love at the end too!

IU – “Good Day”

2AM – “Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die” + “You Wouldn’t Answer My Calls”

B2ST and 4minute put on a “Soom” + “Huh” performance on Music Bank

It’s coming up to the end of the year, and what better way to close out KBS2TV’s Music Bank than with Cube Entertainment’s top idol groups, B2ST and 4minute.

B2ST has had an eventful year, with several charting hit songs culminating in a solo concert just last week, while 4minute has been busy with making inroads in Japan.

The two of them reunited on the December 16th episode of Music Bank, as they put on a performance of their respective hits, “Soom” and “Huh“, together with a short dance collaboration.

Hallyu stars SNSD, KARA, and Super Junior return for Music Bank year-end special!

In a year where many Korean idol groups were successful in their overseas endeavors, it’s only appropriate that these Hallyu stars be named K-pop’s Hot Trend I for 2010!

For a special treat, Music Bank has brought SNSD, KARA, and Super Junior back on Music Bank to perform their hit songs for the year for you fans.

Kikwang, Key and Kwanghee come together to parody Orange Caramel!

The “Personality Performance” was dubbed K-pop’s Hot Trend IV for 2010 by Music Bank, and those special stages always involve either gender switches or parodies or both!

Given the popularity of the special stages, there was no way Music Bank was going to leave that out of their year-end show, so SHINee’s Key, BEAST’s Kikwang, and ZE:A’s Kwanghee came together to parody Orange Caramel’s ”Magic Girl“, with their own “Music Bank Caramel.”

These are always good fun, so be sure to check it out below!

IU and Seulong plus Homme perform for Music Bank duet craze stage!

Marked as K-pop’s Hot Trend II for 2010 by Music Bank, the “Duet Craze” performances lit up the stage on this special year-end episode.

It’s always better when there’s more than one, and when two stars come together, their popularity and abilities double!

This year’s hottest duets, IU and 2AM’s Seulong and 2AM’s Changmin and 8eight’s Lee Hyun, reunited today for Music Bank.

Check out Seulong’s special show of affection towards IU!

Bonus selca after performance to which Seulong explained his hug, “The original members have come together! The preparation was fun, and so was the stage^^ The hugging scene was my own parody of ‘Secret Garden.’ Sorry that we could only come up with just this.”
