4 courageous young men saved a woman's life in Tung Chung yesterday. At around 12 o'clock yesterday morning, the 4 youths saw a woman tring to jump off from the Yat Tung footbridge. The 41 year old woman who attempted to commit suicide is called Wong. She lives with her 41 year old husband Chan in Tung Chung. They had a heated row at midnight, Wong left home and ran towards the footbridge. She climbed up the iron rail on the footbridge and attempted to jump down 20 feet. At the same time, the 4 youths aged between 14-16 were passing by. They saw Wong was about to jump down , three of them rushed up to grab hold of her and tried to persuade her to calm down. There was a police patrol car passing by, 16 year old Yuen ran down the footbridge to stop the police car. The police went up to the footbridge and took the woman to safety. The 4 youths left when they knew the woman was in the save hands of the police.
