Grandfather sent to hospital with swollen cheek
In Lower Wong Tai Sin, a man's behaviors became strange after he awoke yesterday morning. He took off all his clothes, with naked body, went to his grandfather's home adjacent to his apartment, and slapped his 80-years old grandfather for no reason until his grandfather's face was swollen who uttered a shrill cry for help a moment later. The man then wandered around at the corridor, and neighbors called the police once they heard noises worrying that commotion might lead to loss of life. Yet in panic, they made a false report saying "an old lady living next door was chopped dead", thus leading police to arrive with many equipments and a large squad that authorities only found out later it was a false alarm.
Arrested man had last name Leung (27 years old), living in an apartment on 8th floor of Long Sheng House in Lower Wong Tai Sin. Leung suffered no mental illness in his record, and his grandparents lived in the same building but different unit. According to reports, yesterday morning at around six, Leung suddenly woke up from his sleep and behaviors became abnormal who stripped all his clothes and walked naked out of his apartment, into the building's hallway to knock on the door of his 82-years-old grandfather home. Grandfather was surprise to see naked Leung when he opened the door. As he was exploring with Leung of why he was naked, Leung was already charging into the apartment, to which Leung's grandparents quickly told him to stop coming in. Since grandfather shouted for help in the early morning, neighbors was alarmed by the noises thinking the grandfather was having a fight with the grandmother. Frightened the situation would lead to a family tragedy, neighbors quickly called the police claiming "old lady next door was chopped dead". Police thinking it was a dire situation, sent several police officers to site as quickly as possible but they found no case of violence happened. After some questioning, police realized old man was slapped 'til his face was swollen, but the grandfather refused treatment. Under police advice, however, he was willing to go to a hospital accompanied by ambulance crew. Firefighters and police officers, bringing tools along, also thought of breaking into Leung's home, but Leung opened the door himself, not creating any resistance, thus police officers arrested him on suspicion of indecent exposure.
