Big Bang’s Taeyang is a frugal spender
Big Bang‘s Taeyang is frugal when it comes to spending.
On the April 20th episode of SBS ‘GO Show‘, Big Bang member Seungri remarked, “The only thing charged on Taeyang’s credit card last month was his cell phone fee,” exposing Taeyang’s penny-pinching lifestyle.
“I got my credit card bill one morning and I was really surprised to see I was only charged 1,000 KRW (less than $1 USD),” Taeyang explained. “It was a fee they charged after I applied for a new phone.”
“After work promotions begin, I have no reason to spend money and I also can’t spend money,” Taeyang said, causing MC Go Hyun Jung to be dumbfounded and ask, “What do you mean?”
Seungri then explained that Taeyang got upset after a conversation arose on how he spent only 1,000 KRW, and therefore he decided to spend a lot of money this month to prove a point. The curious MCs then asked Taeyang what he had spent the money on, and Taeyang responded, “I just bought everything,” causing the set to explode into laughs.
Seungri then shared another story saying, “Last year, Taeyang put his car in the parking garage, but I have never seen him actually in it,” which caused the other members to agree.
