Meet NBC’s ‘The Voice’ star, Dia Frampton!

Originally from Utah and Las Vegas, the 24 year old graduated early in order to fully concentrate on her music career. Dia has been part of the rock band ‘Meg & Dia‘ with her sister Megan since 2003, with Dia taking on lead vocals and keyboard and Meg with vocals and rhythm guitar. Dia Frampton has since gained national fame as a contestant of the first season of NBC’s ‘The Voice‘, advancing through the quarter-finals, semi-finals and season finale to claim the spot of runner-up. Her renditions of “Heartless”, “Losing My Religion” and “Inventing Shadows” (the latter an original by Fraser T. Listen to her performance below and you’ll be able to see why:
Following the season finale at the end of June 2011, “Inventing Shadows” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 20 with 137,000 downloads.
Since then, Dia has headlined Blake Shelton’s tour, and had multiple releases at the end of last year, notably her single, “The Broken Ones”, and her first solo album, ‘Red‘.
