I Am… Sasha Fierce is the third solo studio album by American R&B singer Beyoncé Knowles, released on November 18, 2008 in the United States. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making it Knowles' third consecutive number-one album.
The album introduces Knowles' alter-ego Sasha Fierce. Knowles said that Sasha was "born" during the making of her 2003 hit single "Crazy in Love". However, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine, Knowles noted the her alter-ego is "strictly for the stage". The magazine has described it as "the singer's sensual, aggressive alter ego".
