Grandfather going to hospital for tests.

In Chai Wan, a pair of 70-years-old couple still suffering the pain of loosing their eldest son were involved with loan sharks because of their former daughter-in-law. In these past few months, they were frequently harassed by "loan sharks"; just yesterday, loan sharks stuff glue into key hole, and posted a large number of debt collection posters and female naked photos on the door. The old couples was trapped in home with a 10-years-old grandchild, and they feared if there was a fire they would die inside, so they called the police. Police officers and firefighters had to break gate to rescue them, during which the old lady was sick due to shock and was taken to hospital for checkups. Police classified case as criminal damage case.

The flat being criminally damaged by debt collector located in Yue Shun House 7th floor, and male resident's surname is Chan (70 years old). Chan lives with his wife Shek, the eldest son, and a 10 years old granddaughter but the eldest son died of liver cancer a few months ago, and the remaining 3 people live together.

At 12:50pm, grandparents were ready to leave with grandchild opening the door to which keyholes on wooden door, and metal gate were stuff with glue. 9 posters with words of "Owe debt return $", along with eldest daughter-in-law Lee X Chen ID information were taped on front door, panel windows and walls of corridor, also a number of naked women torn from pornographic magazines were taped on walls.

Because grandfather smelled kerosene, he feared that someone might set on fire, so they panicked and called police; at the same time, a security guard on patrol found the 3 trapped and the corridor full of debt collection posters, so he also assisted to call the police. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene and used pincers to cut the gate lock rescuing 3 people out, during which grandmother was frightened to sickness that she had to be taken by her husband to the hospital.

Grandfather said Lee × Chen used to be his daughter-in-law, but a few years ago she and the eldest son had a divorce, and granddaughter lived with them. Until a few months ago, the eldest son died of liver cancer and unexpectedly when they had not recovered from grieving, they were harassed by loan sharks.

Grandfather added that they had not been in contact with daughter-in-law for several years so they did not know where she was, but this did not stop the loan sharks who frequently knocked on doors and posted posters on door. Regarding yesterday's escalation of nuisance actions, grandfather bluntly said he feared that one day they will be trapped inside the house by lock gates and fire was set on their home leading to loosing their lives, and hoped the police would pay more attention.
