Wu Chun and Fitness Zone staff donate blood at RIPAS Hospital

Brunei heartthrob Wu Chun, along with some 20 staff of Fitness Zone, yesterday bleed for a good cause at RIPAS Hospital.

For some of the donors including the superstar himself, it was their first time donating blood.

Expressing his nervousness to the Bulletin, Wu Chun said the initiative to donate blood was supposed to take place in Taiwan, together with his fans, but due to time constraint, he decided to do it in his home country along with his staff.

"Donating blood is a good thing especially for the younger generation because each time we donate, we save three lives. We are planning to do this on a regular basis and eventually bring our members from Fitness Zone to donate as well," he told the Bulletin.

Fitness Zone's act of benevolence, however, does not stop with just donating blood as the superstar enlightened the Bulletin on the centre's plans to carry out more charity work such as visiting the old folks home and donating to special needs individuals.

Wu Chun is back in Brunei for 10 days and is resting his injured leg and is prepping himself up for his upcoming concert in Kuala Lumpur on March 28.

"This is the longest stay in Brunei for me since I entered showbiz," he told the Bulletin.

"I get to spend more time with my family and I also have more time for my fitness centre, something which I am deprived of. Fitness Zone will be opening its third branch in Serusop in the near future and my trip back here gives me the opportunity to do a few things for my fitness centre," he added.

When asked when and how he fractured his leg, he replied, "It happened last month during my concert in Hong Kong. I was hanging on a wire and I had to fly up and down so when they released the wire too fast, the impact was quite strong and I injured my feet. It still hurts at the moment and I can only walk using my toes. I don't like this feeling because I am usually an active person," he shared with the Bulletin.

As this is his first meeting with the media after his concert in Hong Kong, Wu Chun would like to assure his fans that he is recovering very well.
