Taetiseo’s ‘Twinkle’ grabs #1 spot on real-time music charts

Girls’ Generation‘s first sub-unit group, Taetiseo‘s “Twinkle“ has kicked off with a very nice start. Upon the song’s release, it instantly grabbed the number one spot on numerous real time music charts.

On April 29th, the song hit first place on Melon, Mnet, Olleh Music, Bugs, Soribada, Naver Music, and Daum Music. ”Twinkle” is Girls’ Generation’s first experiment with soul punk music and emits a 70s-80s style that fully displays the impressive vocal sounds from Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun.

J.Y. Park‘s latest single, “You’re the One“, IVY‘s “Torn Chest“, and Sistar‘s “Alone” also did well, as they too placed themselves in the top ten on this day.

Worldwide gaming website IGN.com prominently features Girls’ Generation on its front page

Worldwide gaming news site IGN.com recently gave a shout-out to Girls’ Generation, who had made a comeback with “Twinkle“.

Ryan Clements, a member of the editorial board at IGN, made the small change and proudly proclaimed his work on his Twitter account (@PwamCider).

Ryan Clements @PwamCider: Hey Girls' Generation fans: look what I did on ign.com . My powers at work. (Let's see how long until the bosses notice...) 28 Apr 12

Just like Ryan said, Taetiseo‘s “Twinkle” is now available for purchase on iTunes.

In other gaming-related news, K-Pop also made waves a few weeks ago when the IGN Pro League tournament streamed K-Pop music videos during breaks between competition. Artists such as Girls’ Day, IU, and HyunA were featured in the live stream, which reached thousands of gamers worldwide – introducing K-Pop to a new audience.
