Taemin receives praise for his performance on ‘Immortal Song 2′

SHINee‘s Taemin delivered a beautiful stage of the Silver Bell Sisters‘ “Terminal Mapo”.

On the March 3rd, KBS‘s ‘Immortal Song 2′ aired its episode honoring composer Park Choon Suk, in which Taemin sang a fresh, young version of Silver Bell Sisters’ “Terminal Mapo”.

Music critic Kang Heon Eun was present, and praised Taemin’s performance saying, “He made ‘Terminal Mapo’ brilliant. Out of all the stages I have seen on ‘Immortal Song 2′, I think this one was the most splendid.

Taemin expressed his feelings of performing a song that had been released 26 years before his birth, saying, “This song came out before I was born so I was unfamiliar with it, but I put a spin to the song by giving it a swing feel.” He also shared his ambitions by stating, “I had one win last week and I want to achieve two wins now.

On this episode, the other singers also sang classics such as Lee Mi Ja‘s “Island Village Teacher”, Patti Kim‘s “Thorn Tree Bird”, Nam Jin‘s “Empty Glass”, Na Hun Ah‘s “The Watermill is Turning”, Ahn Da Sung‘s “At the Beach”, Moon Joo Ran‘s “Break Up at the Airport”.
