Summary:
"Dou Cheung Fung Wan" is about a young man from a well-off family who experiences business failure and bankruptcy due to the follies of youth. After several decades of changes and turning points in his life, he finally realizes the truths of life.

Bobby Au Yeung's character was a gifted gambler, but his carelessness lead to the disappearance of his younger brother, Bosco Wong. As Bobby becomes weighted down by guilt, he becomes a gambling addict and accumulates large debts, which forces him to flee to the Philippines.


All the characters' lives cross paths in the Philippines. Bobby takes on a job at the casino, while Michael Miu is the casino manager. Tavia Yeung also works at the casino as a waitress. Jessica Hsuan is a gambling addict and frequents the casinos.

Tavia's character was born into a Chinese family of 7 in the Philippines. She is angry at her father for being unambitious and her mind is often filled with thoughts of getting rich. She dreams of marrying a rich man so that she can have a more comfortable life. When the casino holds a Baccarat beauty pageant, Tavia enters the competition. She inserts pads into her dress top, hoping to win the competition. But Bosco’s character accidentally bumps into her and Tavia's pads fall to ground, causing her to lose the pageant.

Tavia gets breast implants afterwards and becomes one of the table managers on the casino floor, hoping to meet a rich man. Tavia once again runs into Bosco’s character and they become good friends. Michael Miu realizes that Bosco likes Tavia, so he bribes her to go out with Bosco, so that Bosco can be “controlled” and his gambling skills used to Michael’s advantage.

Michael is in a power struggle over the management of the casino with the owner’s son, played by Lee Tin Cheung. At this time, Wei expresses his interest in Tavia, so she starts seeing him behind Bosco’s back. But later Tavia realizes that Wei never truly loved her and her heart is broken.

During this time, Tavia got to know Bosco better and realized what a wonderful person he is, as well as the great love that he has shown towards her. Tavia tries to remove herself from Michael’s control, but it’s difficult. Tavia is afraid that once Bosco finds out the truth as to why she dated him initially, he will never forgive her and will leave her.

On Tavia and Bosco’s wedding day, Bosco finally realizes that Tavia initially dated him because of Michael's money. He breaks off the wedding and jilts Tavia at the alter. Tavia goes into a depression and locks herself in her room, but thanks to the help of her family, she recovers. When Bosco realize that Tavia is pregnant with his baby, the two lovers reunite and overcome past misunderstandings.
