Malaysian theme song version


This is the first drama to result from the signed three years collaboration for joint production of Chinese dramas and variety shows between Malaysia's Media Prima Berhad and Singapore's MediaCorp Studios Pte Ltd.

This show had recorded one of the highest viewership ratings in Malaysia during the period of telecast, but one of the lowest viewership ratings in Singapore during the period of telecast.

This show is a remake of a 1997 TCS (the then-Mediacorp) drama series, Rising Expectations (长河), though the cast is different. Though the plot is the same, the characters' personalities were changed.

SYNOPSIS

Are humans born good-natured? Some can forsake kinship and love for personal gain, and some can lose their happiness caught up in their own plots for revenge. In fact, only by returning to one's earliest and most innocent days can one experience true happiness.

Shi Jianing, Tie Dongliang and Fang Yucheng are childhood best friends with common dreams of succeeding in life. Unfortunately, life is full of twists and turns and so sends the three best friends down three different paths in life. Thus, good friends become enemies, and lovers get torn apart.
