 Reen Yu, Aaron Yan, and Calvin Chen's "Love Buffet" open for business with new previews Upcoming GTV idol drama Love Buffet sure had quite an adventure in getting produced before getting its chance to see the light of day by television audiences. Originally slated to take over the completion of Jerry Yan and Ella Chen's successful idol drama Down with Love, the upcoming drama encountered not only production delays from its set being destroyed from Typhoon Morakta back in August 2009, but also scene re-shoots due to previous lead actress and fan favorite Joanna Zeng (Magicians of Love) getting replaced by current lead actress and rising stock Reen Yu Hong Yuan (Black & White). Fahrenheit fans that have waited patiently for lead actors Aaron Yan and Calvin Chen to show up once again on the small screen can rest assured though that their buffet of love will be open for business soon, especially since GTV has recently released new promotional teasers that gave a hard broadcast date of December 19th. The Taiwanese live-action adaptation of Japanese manga Parfait Tic probably comes at a good time when rival stations are on a ratings downturn, but questions remain as to whether it will eventually soar like fellow GTV successes Down with Love and Hi My Sweetheart, or crash like GTV failures Momo Love and ToGetHer. Preview 1: Preview 2:  Joanna Zeng swaps out Aaron Yan and Calvin Chen for Alien Huang in latest drama "Mafia Principal" Well, here's an interesting development. Back in the end of February of this year, the long-delayed and anticipated drama Love Buffet was about to re-start production the following month after their set was destroyed from a typhoon the previous year. Originally set to star veteran idol actress Joanna Zeng alongside Fahrenheit members Aaron Yan and Calvin Chen, Joanna eventually dropped from the drama and was later replaced by "hamburger girl" Reen Yu of Black & White fame. Fast forward to now, and it looks like Joanna's latest drama Mafia Principal will start airing sooner than her replacement Reen Yu for Love Buffet by about half a month, where this time Joanna shifts from her former lead actress role in Love Buffet to a more supporting actress role in Mafia Principal. Joining alongside Joanna in the supporting cast is Alien Huang, whom last appeared on the small screen in 2009's Letter 1949. The two play a possible love interest role as Joanna takes on the role of a gangster leader's daughter opposite Alien's currently unspecified role. While details are still coming out, you can check out a 30-second teaser of the drama below. The upcoming CTV drama will begin broadcasting on December 3, 2010.
