Producers of the ‘Korean Paris Hilton’ likely to be met with penalties

It is likely that Mnet’s ‘Tent in the City’, which aired a special episode about the ‘Korean Paris Hilton’, a.k.a Kim Kyeonga, is soon to suffer penalties.

The Korea Communications Standards Commission gathered a subcommittee to evaluate Mnet’s episode of the ‘Korean Paris Hilton’ on September 28th, and after listening to the broadcaster’s statement and opinions in the upcoming conference on October 6th, the subcommittee will make a decision regarding the show’s penalty.

According to the Broadcasting Act, even if the broadcasters make a public apology to the viewers and give their statement and opinions in the conference, receiving a heavy penalty will an inevitable situation for ‘Tent in the City’, once administrative procedures are completed.

A few weeks ago, after receiving an immense amount of criticism and hate from netizens for boasting about her money, the Kim Kyeonga finally revealed evidence that her words on the show were scripted, even taking photos of text messages that were sent by the scriptwriters themselves.
