"one dollar K singing" promotion attracts a large number of people to queue

Restaurants and entertainment businesses affected under financial crisis, such that in response to earlier Restaurants Association, some karaoke business launches the "one dollar to repay society" self-help action yesterday promoting one dollars singing K benefit, of which a Mongkok branch karaoke attracts more than 200 people waiting in line, and the first in line is an elderly who is a Cantonese opera fan. Karaoke manager says business falls sharply in economic downturn, with promotional offers, he hopes to stimulate spending desire.

Restaurants Association earlier introduces the self-help "one dollar to repay society" action, in addition to restaurants participation, karaoke businesses also participate. Yesterday, California Red Karaoke starts a continuous week of a dollar Karaoke singing activity, of which a Mong Kok branch has attracted more than 200 people waiting in line, and the first person in line is an elderly who arrives as early as 11 o'clock, to which she is a fan of a number of Cantonese opera stars, followed by several students in line. California Red Karaoke Marketing Manager Man Shin-Chun says that financial crisis turns economy into a downturn, in which restaurants and entertainment are affected by a great degree that business is clearly a significant decline, therefore introducing one dollar promotion is to stimulate consumer spending.

As to an enthusiastic response to one dollar promotion, Man Shin-Chun says that it's within their expectation because many customers come because of the promotion since "one dollar discount" stimulates their spending desire. The elderly first in line is a fan of a number of Cantonese opera. She has been waiting in line as early as 11 o'clock, and expresses that she anticipates for a long time after reducing the times to karaoke singing after the economy deteriorated. Also, after the elderly are many students in line. "Many people are affected by the economy, the first and foremost is to reduce entertainment and dining expenses, therefore we have to attract them with a discount."

Man Shin-Chun says that one dollar karaoke singing creates big impact. If customers don't eat or drink, they can sing the full two hours with one dollar, that is very affordable. However, this promotion is only applicable to Tai Kok Tsui, Tsim Sha Tsui and Whampoa stores. Mong Kok branch only launches promotion yesterday, and customers need to start queue at 11:00am every day, and the one dollar discount start from from hours 2:00 until 8:00 at night, to which customers simply need to pay one dollar, and they can sing up to two hours of karaoke.
