Old man ignored safety climbed and trapped in a big boulder
source: takungpao translated by cici@Asianeu To Kwa Wan Hoi Sum Park fishtail stone ![]() A 73 years old man by last name Lee visited To Kwa Wan Hoi Sham Park on a whim yesterday and therefore did not inform his family. Because of wanting to overlook Victoria Harbor scenery, he ignored safety and regulation climbing on a boulder at the coast, which was a famous boulder in the park called "Fishtail Rock", to see the scenery in the best spot. Eventually, he found himself trapped in the boulder. He had no cellphone so he could only scream for help. Lee's location however was quite hidden, so no one heard him for a long time until a tourist surnamed Kong traced after noises who immediately called the police once Kong found Lee. Kong stayed at the scene while they waited for rescue and offered comfort to Lee. Subsequently, a large number of firefighters rushed by climbing the boulder the rescue Lee to a safe place. Lee suffered no injury except tiny skin abrasions but he was still sent to hospital for examination. Lee explained that he lived in To Kwa Wan earlier and wanted to stroll around the district. -------------------- Once a week news update
