‘Laws of the Jungle’ admit to their faults & issue an official apology

The PD’s from ‘Laws of the Jungle‘ admitted that they had exaggerated some parts and issued an official apology, while still remaining firm that although some situations may have been exaggerated, there was no fabrication.

The variety show has been under fire after the agency head of Park Bo Young posted comments criticizing the truth of the reality program. Even though he apologized and the staff of the show remained adamant that the show was completely sincere, evidence arose that most of the show was false and it rapidly spread on the internet.

The ‘Laws of the Jungle’ producers had no choice but to admit that much of the show was exaggerated for the enjoyment of the viewers, and issued an official apology. In the apology, all the PDs of each special admitted that the scenes were edited in a way that would be more touching and more impressive to the viewers.

However, the PDs also emphasized that even though the tourist packages existed, they did not use any of the tourism companies. They also emphasized that there were parts of the show that were told exactly as is, especially many of the hunting scenes. The apology ended with the PDs promising to be honest and forthright in their future production.

Actor Jung Suk Won experiences some tension with netizens regarding the recent controversy of ‘Laws of the Jungle’

Actor Jung Suk Won experienced some tension with netizens regarding the recent controversy surrounding SBS‘s ‘Laws of the Jungle‘.

Jung Suk Won tweeted, “The reason we jumped into the cold ocean and ran under the hot sun with fire in our eyes wasn’t because a camera was in front of us. It was because we were hungry. It was our struggle together with the tribe members to win against the cold and hunger,” in order to clarify that what the cast members’ feel and experience on their trips are completely pure, not faked for the sake of broadcast.

He also added, “The happiness equaled to that of the 2 years’ memory of the marine task force. I swear with all ten fingers. I don’t know too much, but the message that ‘Laws of the Jungle’ wants to send to the viewers is about the life of human beings. Not a lie.”

After reading his tweet, one netizen responded, “Just stay quiet. The viewers aren’t stupid.” Jung Suk Won replied, “Please give me your number. Via message.”

The netizen also replied, “You go to a tourist attraction and meet a native whom you can pay to meet and air it as if you explored the wild, that’s why they’re saying it’s fake. Before you get a phone number, you should know why the viewers are angry.”

Jung Suk Won again replied with, “So give me your number ^^”

Another netizen commented, “Are you trying to meet in person and beat him up. Stop doing immature things.” Jung Suk Won explained himself by saying,”It would be terrible if I beat someone up. I was trying to have a conversation.”

As mentioned before, the ongoing controversy was sprouted from the comments made by the head of actress Park Bo Young‘s agency. Netizens then started to dig into the validity of the show, and the show recently issued an apology. While they admitted that there are situations that have been exaggerated for the sake of the entertainment factor of the show, they also stressed that nothing has been fabricated and the struggle you see the cast members go through on camera is real.
