Jolin launches own fashion label in America

With a smooth sailing music career, pop princess Jolin Tsai made her first foray in the fashion industry and officially launched her own label, 72 Changes, in America. With booming sales and raving reviews received for her first line of clothes, the company requested for Tsai to come up with 200 more designs in her next collection.

Tsai exclaimed, "It is too stressful! I have to rack my brains over this one!"

According to media reports, Tsai specially flew to San Francisco in America for the press event of her label. Her first line of clothing which centered on a "music" theme consisted of 100 pieces and received orders amounting up to over US$100,000. Due to overwhelming demands, her company requested for her to design over 300 pieces for her second season.

The pop princess would be collaborating with Saks Fifth Avenue for the release of her clothing line. The first season of Tsai's clothing would debut in various big American cities followed by an August launch in Taiwan, meeting protests from her Taiwanese fans.

An impatient Jolin also hopes to launch her label in the Taiwanese market as soon as possible.

Tsai has high expectations for her own label and scrutinizes the quality of each bolt of cloth used. She strongly values the comfort level of a piece of clothing and will not herself accept a piece of beautiful but uncomfortable clothing. She plans to bring her label to the fashion markets of China, Singapore, and Malaysia next year.
