Joan Lin celebrates her 60th birthday with husband Jackie Chan and son Jaycee
Son Jaycee Chan surprise the former actress with a performance

Recently, former actress Joan Lin celebrated her 60th birthday. Her husband, kungfu superstar Jackie Chan, stayed with her throughout the celebration, which was secretly arranged by their son Jaycee Chan.

Joan had shied away from the limelight after she married Jackie at the height of her career in 1982. Their marriage brought forth son Jaycee.

On Jan 30, Jaycee attended his entertainment agency's annual dinner, of which mum Joan was in attendance.

At the dinner, Jaycee surprised his mother with a birthday celebration and performance. The singer-actor had especially penned, composed and performed a birthday song to convey his gratitude to mum that night.

Jaycee then promised his mother that he would work harder at finding a girlfriend and have kids, moving Joan to tears.

Jackie, who was busy filming in Japan, also took time out from work to attend the surprise event. He even stayed on to accompany wife Joan for the entire evening.

Smiling widely during Jaycee's performance, father Jackie commented in mocked jealousy, "My son has never celebrated my birthday before."

When probed on what birthday gift they had prepared for Joan, the father-son pair replied in unison, "Top secret".

Jaycee later jokingly shared that he had even prepared lyrics to his self-composed song before his performance as he knew that his father would not comprehend the words in his song.
