Jay Chou pairs up with Lara Veronin for his latest MV

Keeping with his tradition of releasing a music video for each of his songs, Jay Chou released his 11th and final video for 'Piano Wound' from his latest album Exclamation Mark.

His rumoured beau, Hannah Quinlivan, was originally slated to star beside him in the video, but his label-mate Lara Veronin eventually took up the role. The duo's past collaborations include duets in 'Coral Sea' and 'Snake Dance'.

The music video is set in the past, with Jay playing the role of a perfumer who had a romantic interest in the affluent beauty portrayed by Lara. One of his concoctions is able to magically transport him into his perfume bottle, where he would dance with Lara.

Jay's mother, who teaches ballroom dancing, played her part by overseeing the pair when they were learning the necessary dance steps. When she was coaching Lara, Jay reportedly stood attentively nearby and praised Lara, 'The more (she) dances the better (she) gets.'

The music video for 'Piano Wound' will reportedly be converted to 3D, and is currently in post-production, which will take an estimated two months and cost NT$3.5 million (S$15,000). The 2D version, will be included in his special DVD which is slated for release on July 17 and includes 19 other songs and behind-the-scenes footage.
