Jackie Chan’s wife supervises his filming
The kung fu superstar makes his first film in Taiwan after 20 years

Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan was in Taiwan recently, to shoot a scene for his 101th movie 12 Zodiacs, with his wife, retired actress Joan Lin in tow.

Wearing a pair of sunglasses, Jackie appeared at Taiwan's East Coast at 7am. To avoid interruptions from the media, the production crew set up barricades 300 feet (91m) away from the shoot location.

Moments later, Korean actor Kwon Sang Woo, decked in surf attire, appeared with two beautiful ladies.

At around 11am, Jackie's wife, Joan was spotted on set. She chatted with a female companion, and met with Jackie -- who was clad in a towel because he had filmed a water scene -- for lunch.

During lunch, the 57-year-old sat opposite his wife and constantly fidgeted with his towel.

Twenty years ago, Jackie filmed Crime Story in Taiwan and won the Best Actor award at the Golden Horse Awards for his role in the movie.

While his previous comments about "chaotic conditions" in Hong Kong and Taiwan riled the Taiwanese, causing them to boycott the actor, his love for the country spurred him to return last year to source for location for his latest movie.

12 Zodiacs reportedly costs an estimated NT$2.8 million (S$120 million) and will include Jackie's favorite action sequences, including gun fights, parachuting, car chases and multi-angle explosive shots.

The movie, which is reportedly the superstar's last action drama, is scheduled to be released on Dec 12.

In other related news, it is rumoured that Joan, who is also JC Group's CEO and secretary, has control over Jackie's NT$9 billion (S$390 million) worth of properties and is in charge of his financial expenditures.
