HKTV NEW & UPCOMING SERIES LIST (2013)
INTRO: CityTelecom (CTI), founded by chairman Ricky Wong, recently applied for a free-to-air HK television license and has successfully launched the TV & Multimedia Production Centre, focused on drama production. Mr. Wong started his mass recruitment of HK singers, former TVB artists, directors and producers. HKTV is currently waiting for the government to issue their license before they can actually broadcast their series. Operation has begun.

Plot: Humans, naturally love beauty. Many people would put on makeup, go to the beauty salon, or even get plastic surgery. Plastic Surgeon CHEUK TIN NAM (Frankie Lam) is Hong Kong's top plastic surgeon, but he's actually a greedy man. After one liver replacement surgery, and going through a life or death situation, he changed completely. He left the private hospital and joined Asian millionaire TIN HO CHEUNG's (Carlos Chan) medical group and became the chairman. NAM met optimistic obstetrician CHAN BUN YEUN (Al Wai) at the hospital and the two worked together to save lives. Meanwhile, the head at the medical headquarters CHIU JAN PONG (John Chiang) killed CHEUNG's mother in a surgery and because of this, CHEUNG targeted against PONG in hope to kick him out of the medical group. PONG eventually resigned himself and established his own clinic, but when everything went smoothly, he gets accused of murder...

Plot: A supernatural-themed detective series – however the ‘supernatural’ won’t be the traditional ghosts and spirits-theme that audiences are used to seeing. Rather, it will utilize ‘super’ scientific concepts as well as realistic methods to investigate a variety of mysterious, unusual cases. The series will revolve around the main character San Kei Yuen (Felix Wong) -- a former high-ranking police inspector who, after being traumatized by the mysterious death of his son, acquires the hidden ability to capture and enter other people’s subconscious, as he deeply believes that his son was actually murdered in the ‘inner confines of the subconscious’! At the same time, he starts to display signs of having a split personality and works hard to study about the ‘hidden subconscious’ in the hopes of one day finding his son’s killer. Each main character in this series will have some sort of ‘hidden ability’ that makes them different from other people. Even though each of them will have a ‘regrettable flaw’ and perhaps even be viewed by society as being ‘abnormal’ or ‘weird’, this does not affect their self-esteem. The story also conveys the subtle changes in China and Hong Kong's relationship over the last 30 years. Family ties are closer than social relations. You deny it, deny it, but you must admit it. Resurgence of the big country, how will HK people face this or will there no longer be a HK in the future; is there a division of Chinese people?
