HKTV NEW & UPCOMING SERIES LIST (2013)
INTRO: CityTelecom (CTI), founded by chairman Ricky Wong, recently applied for a free-to-air HK television license and has successfully launched the TV & Multimedia Production Centre, focused on drama production. Mr. Wong started his mass recruitment of HK singers, former TVB artists, directors and producers. HKTV is currently waiting for the government to issue their license before they can actually broadcast their series. Plastic Surgeon CHEUK TIN NAM (Frankie Lam) is Hong Kong's top plastic surgeon, but he's actually a greedy man. After one liver replacement surgery, and going through a life or death situation, he changed completely. He left the private hospital and joined Asian millionaire TIN HO CHEUNG's (Carlos Chan) medical group and became the chairman. NAM met optimistic obstetrician CHAN BUN YEUN (Al Wai) at the hospital and the two worked together to save lives. Meanwhile, the head at the medical headquarters CHIU JAN PONG (John Chiang) killed CHEUNG's mother in a surgery and because of this, CHEUNG targeted against PONG in hope to kick him out of the medical group. Each main character in this series will have some sort of ‘hidden ability’ that makes them different from other people. Even though each of them will have a ‘regrettable flaw’ and perhaps even be viewed by society as being ‘abnormal’ or ‘weird’, this does not affect their self-esteem.
