Girls' Generation is back with 12 new tracks for all The Boys and the girls out there! The group collaborated with Teddy Riley and other top producers and composers to create a world-class album full of infectious dance hits. The Korean version of their J-pop hit Mr. Taxi is also included in the album.

I'm quite surprised no one has started a thread on the new SNSD album, The Boys. I've searched and there doesn't appear to be one which is strange due to the girls' popularity =S. Well if I'm wrong and there is one, please merge this topic with the correct one. Anyway, I'm not a massive fan of SNSD. I mean I don't even like Korean music that much apart from a select through - mostly the Chinese-Korean collaborations like Miss A, f(x), Lotte Girls, i-Me and also the name groups like 2NE1. With SNSD, I've listened to all their albums and I like a few songs but for the most part, they're just missing the musicianship that I like in my music with much of it sounded too cutsey for my liking and I like a lot of "cute" music, albeit mostly Chinese. However, after listening to The Boys, I can't believe how much I enjoyed that album - every song is really catchy and it's so far loads better than their previous album, "Oh", which wasn't even that great in my opinion.

The Girls' are making me a fan but I still don't like a lot of their songs on their previous albums. The Boys is a very good record - I love every song that I think I've listened to that record over 10 times in a row last nite >_<. My favourite songs are Trick, Oscar, Top Secret, Lazy Girl and Vitamin - hard to pick a real favourite though, they're all great.
