Eason Chan Breaks Record Insurance Policy at a Taiwan Concert

Eason Chan's Eason's Moving on Stage 2 will be held on February 2, 2008 at Taipei Soccer Stadium (or Chungshan Soccer Stadium) in Taipei, Taiwan. The company who organized this concert, Mn Wingsan, revealed that record worth of an insurance policy for a singer who performed in Taiwan is held by Sammi Cheng, who in 2000 had an insurance policy worth 200 million TWD. Jolin Tsai had a 100 million TWD insurance policy taken out on her when she performed at the Golden Melody Awards last year. Eason, who is known to give it his all on stage and because the stage will be 4 stories high with steps, broke Jolin and Sammi's records when the organizing company took out an accident insurance policy worth 250 million TWD (about 60.2 million HKD) on him.

Not only is Mu Wingsan prepared for Eason's on stage accidents, they are also prepared for overtime fines. Eason, whose record is 10 encore songs, is known to perform past the scheduled time; therefore, they've already prepared funds to pay for the overtime fines. The concert is set to take place from 7:30pm to 10:30pm, once past that time an automatic 100,000 TWD fine takes place.

In Eason's 10+ years in the music industry, this will mark his first time holding a big stage concert in Taiwan. The 40,000 tickets available for sale were 80% sold within the first 3 days. Eason, who has been nervous about ticket sales, was relieved when he found out tickets were selling well and says "watching the sales of tickets is more exciting than stocks."
