Dodo Cheng & Lui Fong Break up

Dodo Cheng and Lui Fong have been dating for 16 years. A day ago Dodo directly met up with a specific magazine reporters to announce she had broken up with him. Lui Fong moved out of their home in Repulse Bay in the middle of October.But Dodo said she is still friends with him and stressed that it wasn't because of him having no money, no status otherwise they wouldn't have been together for 16 years. The reason they broke up had nothing to do with money or a third party.

Still Friends

As for the reason for breaking up? Dodo said one of the reasons is because of her lifestyle. She personally had little time to socialise and would sleep early. But Lui Fong would sleep very late. Also perhaps because she entered her 50's and is at another stage in her life. She thought about spending time on her own. Lui Fong also had similar thoughts. After many discussions and thinking, in the end they made that decision. But they will continue to stay in touch, meet up and message each other. They will always remain as good friends and will always help each other.

Not too upset

Lui Fong said last year in his Concert that he would marry Dodo this year, But Dodo said she had never thought about getting married. As for it ending after 16 years, did she feel very upset and cry? Dodo said she didn't feel specifically upset. Returning as single status for the first day she felt okay and still had many unforgettable memories. For example Lui Fong cooking dinner for her. Also his character had made her more open minded.

Lui Fong also said that it was not to do with a third party, mainly to do with their different lifestyles. After their discussions and dealing with the matter calmly they finally found a way to resolve it. But their relationship is still very good. (Does that mean there is still a chance to get back together?) He said he could not predict that. Yesterday the reporter phoned Dodo. Her assistant said that she will accepted that magazine interview and will not accept other magazines interviews to discuss about her break up. But Thanked them for their concern.

Lui Fong said he had already said what was needed to be said in the magazine interview so will not respond to any questions. But would thanked everyone. Their relationship first started hidden, untill 1994 when they officially announced it in public.
