Translated by: R.E.D @ http://asianuniverse.net/forums/ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Two children "wandered around" for 9 hours, one of the missing children's parents were so worried that they raised the alarm. A 9 year old boy was said to have disappeared after leaving home to attend a tuition centre. His father was worried that he might have been abducted, he called the police. In fact, the boy gave an excuse of going to toilet and wandered off when he was on his way to the tuition centre. He met a 6 year old girl in the playground. They travelled together to Tsuen Wan as the girl wanted to look for a relative there. He redeemed his octopus card to get the deposit money back so that they could buy some food. The two were discovered sitting on a bench in a park at 2am yesterday morning. The police traced both of the families and found out that no one reported the girl had been missing. The missing 9 year old named Wong is a grade 3 pupil attending a local primary school. He lives with his parents and an older sister in Sham Shui Po. Wong and his sister also attend a tuition centre nearby. At around 5pm two days ago, brother and sister left home after having a meal with their mother. When they arrived at the tuition centre building, Wong told his sister he wanted to use the toilet. As their classes were on different floor, his sister let him go to the toilet on his own. At about 6pm, Wong's mother received a phone call from the tuition centre informing her that her son was absent from the class. Mrs Wong contacted her husband, they went to the tuition centre to find out what was happening. They could not find their son in the tuition centre, they called some friends and relatives to help them look for their son. They reported his as missing person at 11pm. At 2am yesterday morning, a 19 year old girl called Wong was walking past Tsuen Wan Shek Wai Kok community centre, she found two children sitting on a bench. She felt something was wrong, she contacted the police. The police arrived and took the children back to the police station. They contacted Wong's parents. Wong admitted that he ran away on purpose, he described how he met the 6 year old girl in the park, he also told the police they met another boy in the park too, and three of them have been playing there for a long time. At 8pm, the other boy went home, leaving the two of them in the park. The girl told Wong she didn't want to go home, but she wanted to see her grandmother who lives in Tsuen Wan. The two of them went to Tsuen Wan by the MTR. At the station, the boy redeemed his octopus card for $55, together, they went to McDonald's for dinner. At 1am, the two reached Shek Wai Kok, but the girl was worried that her grandmother might be sleeping, so the two decided to wait in the park. According to report, the 6 year old girl named Lam comes from a single parent family. She lives with her mother in Kwai Chung Lai Yiu Estate. Her mother came from the mainland and her parents were only divorced last month. The police were wondering why the 6 year old was not reported missing by her mother.
