12 Secret Societies Members Caught while recuirting new members

The OCTB (Organized Crime And Triad Bureau) and the Heavy Crime Unit have a combined operation yesterday. They have arrested 12 secret society suspects at Shau Kei Wan during the combined operation. The 12 gang members were suspected to be recuirting new members during the summer vacation.

The arrested suspects were aged between 13 to 21. They were suspected to be active members of the gang named Sun Ming On at Shau Kei Wan district. One of the suspects was the leader of the gang. Initial investigations revealed that he is responsible for illegal gatherings and gang fights. All arrested are being detained and questioned by the police.

The huge operation was planned yesterday after an informant reported that the gang was very active in Shau Kei Wan recently.The informant also revealed that the gang members were forcing people by using threat to join their gang. Their main targets were teenagers whom are having summer vacations. As the manpower is not sufficient and could not be prepared in such a short period of time,the OCTB have requested the Heavy Crime Unit for assistance. They have laid in ambush at Tin Yuet Shopping Mall and waited for the suspects to begin their activities. They have successfully caught the 12 people when they gathered together.

The police have also believed that the gang members were involved in multiple offences which included thef and drug consuming.
